I was starving, it was just shy of 3 pm and this was going to be my late lunch! I am a big guy and I like food, but I was in a hurry and was making a meal out of the chips, salsa, and refried beans the waitress brought me after dropping off the menu.
I ordered the special of the day and my Crab Enchiladas came out quickly, as did the taco salad. Their food was to die for! Rarely if ever have I had Mexican food that had flavor, most of the time it is bland if you ask me. ...but El Molcajete Mexican Grill food is not bland in flavor and certainly not boring! WHAT A MEAL, OMG OMG OMG!!! I ate it all, it actually looked like I had licked the plates!
I ordered the EL MOLCAJETE BURRITO to go just before I was about to finish my lunch so I would have my dinner taken care of, why not have Mexican food two meals in a row right???!!! My EL MOLCAJETE BURRITO came with A Flour tortilla filled with chicken in a mild spicy sauce with mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. Topped with jack cheese and sour cream and guacamole! In addition, I had my waitress add shrimp!
The burrito arrived at my table just as I was ready to leave and it was housed in a massive aluminum tray with a lid on it and I just had to take the lid off and stare at the burrito. There the burrito sat in the bottom of the tray in it's own juices with a huge amount of melted cheese and fried onions on top.
I made mt way home and stuck my dinner in the over and placed the over on warm. I figured three hours later about 7 pm I would start in! But when 7 pm came around I was still a bit full so I waited until 8:30 pm and dove in.
...the burrito was to die for!!! In fact, I had leftovers the next day!!!
